Buyer Engagement Program Manager, Sustainable Fisheries Partnership
Biography
Bryan Szeliga is a buyer engagement program manager. A former director of business development and executive chef, Bryan brings more than 10 years of sustainable sourced seafood experience to the table and holds degrees from Fort Lewis College in Colorado and Western Culinary Institute in Portland, Oregon.
Prior to joining SFP, Bryan was a salesman for a seafood importer Independence Fish Company and the director of sales and business development at Open Ocean Trading, a technology based seafood company focused on selling forward and futures contracts for domestic seafood. As a farm-to-fork chef, his continuing efforts to promote sustainably sourced seafood were recognized by his 2012 Seaweb Seafood Champion nomination.
At SFP, Bryan works with North American seafood partners to develop and implement sustainable seafood policies. Bryan currently resides in Philadelphia, and enjoys fly fishing on nearby rivers and in Long Island Sound.
